Eileen Ashby, MA

Empowerment Coaching and Spiritual Direction

At the heart of Eileen’s approach to supporting others in living empowered lives is the belief that we are born whole and that each of us has an inner wisdom that is available to help us navigate through the challenges of life. Many of us stopped listening to this internal guidance system somewhere in the developmental process as we made efforts to gain acceptance within family and society. It is the messages conveyed within our families and the culture that tend to dominate our thoughts and beliefs and influence our actions as we go through life. This can translate into living life based on thoughts, beliefs, and values inherited through conditioning that may not match one’s personal convictions. When we find ourselves out-of sync with our intuitive wisdom or inner sense of what we yearn for, we may struggle or suffer a loss of vitality and enthusiasm for the life we lead. Empowerment comes in the form of examining personal truths and making shifts in one’s life when it is discovered that one is not living in accordance with one’s deepest convictions. Eileen creates a safe and supportive environment to nurture the process of self-discovery and reconnection to wholeness.

Eileen has a diverse background of study in Psychology, Spirituality, and Healing Arts. Areas of study include Jungian Psychology, Crisis Intervention, Trauma Resolution, Reiki, Shamanism, Mindfulness, Meditation, and Intuitive Healing. Eileen completed her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. Eileen is certified as a Spiritual Counselor through American Institute of Healthcare Professionals. Eileen completed the Healing Practitioner Training at The Institute of Shamanic Arts in Tuscon, AZ. Eileen is currently enrolled in a program of study for Spiritual Direction at Tacheria School for Spiritual Direction, Tacheria Interfaith Spirituality Center, Tucson, AZ.

Eileen spent several years working with clients with acute or chronic symptoms of post-traumatic stress, helping guide and facilitate survivors in their healing process from traumatic wounding related to sexual abuse. Eileen chose to leave the role of mental health professional in order to establish a private coaching practice, working from a holistic, integrative approach in order to help people restore their connection to wellbeing and wholeness.

Eileen has been an active participant within The Institute of Shamanic Arts Community since 2008 where she has participated in ISA circles and trainings.
