I’d like to introduce myself. My shamanic spiritual name is Elisabeth Black.
This year, I have had the honor of accepting the role of ISA Director. I am very committed to the growth of ISA and envision a future of fantastic potential for all of us involved.
I have been blessed to have been part of ISA for the past six years. During this time, I have been a participant in many circles, taken part in practitioner trainings, led circles and workshops, developed programs, and assisted behind the scenes with workshops, special events, and performances. All of these activities have given me much insight and knowledge into the inner workings of ISA, its beliefs, and what it stands for.
My shamanic path began when I was a child. Early on, I recognized my connection with all of life including plants, animals, and spirit beings. I did not always feel that I fit in which has led me to one of my passions in life. I truly believe in helping others develop their spiritual skills. This includes nurturing their confidence and inner strength, and providing avenues for discovery. I have developed a program called Sensorium for Kids which works to reach children whose gifts are not being recognized by the regular school system. As a certified teacher for 15 years, I have put together my knowledge and experiences to truly address the gaps that our gifted children face in traditional education.
I am certified as a Reiki Master and often combine this skill with shamanic work. I am also an empath and work with others to offer support and outreach to the empath community through an online group and blog. I am very interested in helping women reach their highest potential. With this in mind, I have brought the Red Tent Temple to Tucson and offer monthly shamanic circles to women called Shamanic Herstory Exploration (S.H.E.). I am intuitive and have seer abilities which I use when doing readings and Shamanic Seer events.
As director of ISA, I look forward to assisting anyone with questions about ISA, providing support for our wonderful facilitators, organizing times and dates for workshops, coordinating new offerings, and going forward with curriculum development for our future education department.
