The Power of Shamana- Introduction to the Shamanic Arts

Explore your Inner World!

ISA is happy to announce that Quynn is hosting a shamanic arts workshop for beginners and beyond on Saturday, August 6 at 10am in downtown Tucson.  While all circles offered by ISA offer shamanic journeying and meditation tips, this workshop will guide each person into their own Inner World so they can strengthen their connection with their ancestors, intuition and spirit guides in their own way.  One does not need to be a member of the meetup group to participate. To RSVP email Quynn through the meetup group.   This three hour workshop is offered by Spirit Guided Donation.      for more info:

Rain for our Lives

If you want to manifest a desire, the best approach is to act with the certainty that the wheels of the universe are working toward this fulfillment.

This could be said for rain too. To bring rain, one does not beg and plead.  There is no rain begging dance.  Such a dance would be coming from a place of “lack”.

Recently, the Institute of Shamanic Arts embodied conscious creation with two rain/water events.  We sent out the message to the universe that we were grateful, proud, happy, emotion filled, loving, playful, energetic, strong, sharing,  and caring human beings.

Be Come Rain

We embody rain

The first event was called Be Come Rain-Sound and Movement Ceremony.  During this event we were surrounded by the beautiful sounds of rain, while listening to sound recordings that Quynn  ( had collected from her past nature wanderings.  We were also treated to fantastic visual media that melded with the sounds to create the illusion of being in nature.  This aspect of the ceremony really heightened the experience and enabled us to viscerally enter a prayerful dance state of actually being rain drops.

Another aspect that contributed to our passionate expression was using masks. Jacob Gardener ( ) created light weight masks that we could easily breath and move in.  Participants commented on how the masks enabled them to go deeper into the experience and fully allow themselves to let go.

At the end of our dance, we sent out our energetic vibrations to the universe, those we love, and the planet.  We toned, chanted, and sang to share our messages of joyful celebration.

When we opened the doors to step out into the night we were greeted with the blessing of sweet rain fall!  Thank you!

Red Tent Water and Heart

Red Tent Water and Heart

On Sunday, July 24th women attended I.S.A.’s Red Tent Temple hosted by Elisabeth Black ( ).

Here we had the opportunity to infuse water with our powerful heart-opening vibrations.  Recognizing that water is is a conduit for change and that Dr. Masaru Emoto has shown that our thoughts and words can be connected to water, we worked together to send heart-felt love out into the world through water libation.  (Libation is the ritual of pouring water.)

Women had the opportunity to share stories of success.  We also listened to heart-centered stories and poems.  It was a deeply moving experience to hold space and honor ourselves.

While we all worked together to clean up and check in with each other on how we are doing in our lives,  it began to rain outside!

It was as if our time of honoring, sharing, laughing, and giving of our hearts was richly rewarded and validated from the heavens above with more rain!

the Remembering Ones

Coming Full Circle

This photograph of the Oroborous (snake eating its tail) is shared to honor those of us who are the Remembering Ones. Those who are the first in many generations to hear, and acknowledge,  the living world speaking to them. We have ancestry that covers this Earth and beyond, and we are kin with the trees, the four legged, winged, finned and crawling ones in the family of Nature.

Enjoy the walk on this path. the Institute for the Shamanic Arts and Earth Web Media remember as well.

It’s all about Visioning

That’s right shamanic friends!  There is so much visioning going on at Institute for Shamanic Arts.  Keep in mind that “vision” in the shamanic realm extends much further than just to see with your eyes.

One such example took place on Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 during the workshop called Council of Tribes-Expressing your Shamanic Character which was presented by Quynn.  During this workshop, participants had the opportunity to journey within and find a character that was calling out to them to be either honored or embodied.  Pieces were put together to create these characters and the end results were absolutely transforming and amazing, as you can tell from the picture above.  This workshop was popular and very well received.  Be on the lookout for more fun and very fulfilling workshops like this one, and please come join Quynn Elizabeth and ISA for such events.

ISA is also delighted to experience the revival of  Quynn’s weekly journey circle called Vision-Shamanic Journey Circle.  Several participants expressed gratitude and joy that there will now be a consistent weekly journey circle in which anyone can work on their own spiritual practice.  As one person said, “Just keep coming back!”  Keep in mind also that this sort of practice has much joy and reward to it.  We hope to see you at the next Vision-Shamanic Journey Circle on Sunday, at 11:00 a.m. (check Meetup calendar for details.)

Now, on the note of protecting your visioning, Jenni stepped right up to provide excellent tips and ideas on protection and boundaries.  As “sensitive” folks we need this kind of useful information. Thank you Jenni.

Using seer skills takes another sort of visioning.  Elisabeth Black used her intuition and empath skills to give feedback to questions that participants had.  It was like ISA’s own mini John Edward’s or Sylvia Brown medium show!

Dee, our own special Owl Woman, brought us information about the new moon in Cancer.  There was a lot of joyful energy, nurturing and love in this circle as we tapped into protection and feelings.

Those of us that were interested in love, peace, transforming fear and HUG really enjoyed Everett’s recent circle called Hug.  We got to tap into our child side and enjoy the freedom of interpersonal communion.

These are just some of the cool, fantastic, thrilling, authentic, shamanic, fun, community building, joy filled circles that all include VISIONING going on at Institute of Shamanic Arts.  We hope you will join us in experiencing them!
