Shamanic Seer Star Messages

My name is Elisabeth Black.

Recently, I presented myself most respectfully to the Star Beings and said the following:

“I offer myself as a conduit for Star Messages that want to be brought forth to others.”

I looked in my heart and knew I was ready to do this.

Not only was I ready, but I felt this deep longing.

I thought about the journey I have undertaken and  how I have practiced staying centered in my inner knowing, recognizing the sacred, working with compassion, and loving myself and others.

I do not think I am perfect.

I know that I make mistakes.

However, I felt this also qualified me because then I have empathy, humility, and grace.

I also knew it would help me to get out of the way of my “ego” and myself and let the Light and Love from benevolent Star Beings shine forth for others.

In my life-

I have been shy.

I have been quietened.

This night,

my words flowed like the stars in the Milky Way.

I felt alive.

I felt that I pleased the Star Beings.

All around the room I saw and was very aware of Star Being presence.

They gazed upon all of the beautiful humans and I know they brought forth the dearest most loving messages.

Perhaps it all sounds melodramatic to you.

On the other hand,

I hope that the light in you is responding right now.

It’s reaching out and saying,

“I want some of that too.”

And you can have it.

I hope to see you at the next Shamanic Seer Circle.

Thank you all loving Star Beings. I am filled with gratitude.

**Elisabeth is an empath, shamanic intuitive, storyteller, poet, artist and teacher. She has a passion for journeying to help you discover your soul’s message.**

Solstice Shamanic Techno Blast!

On Thursday, Dec. 22, we celebrated Winter Solstice.

45 light beings joined us in this spectacular celebration.

Together we celebrated by infusing each of our 7 chakras with light.

We called in the Spirits of Light to be present.  We were thankful for “light” and felt much love.

This celebration used a combination of traditional celebration with chanting, meditation, journeying, rhythm of all sorts (bells, rattles, drums, etc.) and the new techno aspect of video and shadow play.

It was lovely to see how the senses were activated and how each person received just the right “light” message.

Thank you to all of our wonderful facilitators-Shannon, Don, Lance, Kym, Alyson, Ian, Elisabeth, Patricia, Dee, Quynn, Jacob, and Phil.

Thank you to Quynn and Jacob for making this celebration possible and for the prepping and detail work.

Thank you to Wilson for the use of the space.

Thank you to Kati for her beautiful imagery video.

Thank you to all that participated and were present during our celebration.

Thank you to all spirits, light beings, and star people that were present.

Here’s to a year full of much love and light. So say we all!

Winter Solstice 2011 – Be Light!

Winter Solstice 2011 in Tucson, AZ.  Join us at 19 E Toole Ave, just west of Solar Culture Gallery.  6:30 pm.

As the year 2012 approaches, luminous energetic vibrations from higher realms and multidimensional beings are streaming toward Earth.

Now is the time to activate our Merkaba* Light Body in a safe and joyful environment with kindred spirits.

*Merkaba is an Egyptian and Hebrew word that means the spinning field of light energy that exists around every living being.

Activation of your Light Body will lead to transformations and enlightenment. It also results in a deeper connection with our higher selves.

On Winter Solstice, we celebrate the return of the sun- Earth’s ultimate source of light.

We will use percussion, rhythm and vibration to BE LIGHT, raise our Merkaba, bring forth light, and infuse loving light into our world for the highest good of all.

For this celebration, please bring:

-a light source like a flashlight, led light, etc. (NO candles, or fire please)

-an item to place on the altar (this could be a picture of someone/thing you would like to send light to, totem, representative of light, etc.)

-percussive rhythm maker, if you have one (we will have some to share)

You are also encouraged to dress as you would like to depict light (costumes, masks, regalia, etc.) .  We will be indoors, yet please dress warmly in layers for a chilly night!

This celebration is offered by spirit guided donation (ask within for an appropriate amount).

Please join us for this special event as we all prepare for the unfolding of the 2012 energy.

On Saturday, November 26, the Institute for the Shamanic Arts presented Cracking Open-A Shamanic Evocation.

Performance members spent the day preparing the space by setting things up, clearing the space with ritual, smudging,  bringing in love and light, communing with our spirit guides, sharing camaraderie, and really invoking our intentions for the the night.

There were many well thought out goals for this performance. To revisit some of them, they were:

1. In a shamanic style, we will act as hollow bones to evoke messages of “cracking open” (creation anew through the power of memory or imagination).

2.  We will personally bring forth a part/parts of ourselves that are ready to be manifested.

3. We will be a welcoming group to benevolent star beings. (This was amended to include all benevolent beings).

The performance was magical, moving and beautiful.

The audience left their  “audience” status at the doorway and were like tribal members participating in the flow of energy, love, and belief.

Pieces flowed and morphed into what was needed. Even the train cooperated by arriving at just the most opportune time and then as it moved on it cleared the space for whatever was next.

There was a full house and no empty chairs with 50 people present.  People even traveled from Phoenix to witness and be part of this wonderful event.

Comments were received after the performance that it was exciting, riveting, entrancing, and that we are onto something good.

Considering the feedback, and the way the cast and crew felt after the performance, we feel that we met and exceeded our goals!

Many talked of how they did personally “crack open” and about how excited they are from the process (even today, the day after.

Please know that if you didn’t get the chance to make it to Cracking Open, I.S.A. plans many future performances and you are welcome to be a part of them in whatever way you are called!

Remember, you are LOVED! And you are also very welcome to join this tribe.

Healing our Trauma- The Shamanic Healing of our Generation

A note from Quynn Elizabeth, shamanic practitioner and daughter of veteran-

We have each experienced trauma in our own lives.  Each family has had its share of trauma. Each clan, tribe,  village or nation have been the victim of traumatic violence, and at some point in the past we too have inflicted violence.  In our common language, this has become WAR.   Every tribe, every person, has shamanic and Earth honoring ancestors, and all have warred against other tribes.  This is to be human, it seems.  In addition, every tribe has experienced horrific terrors as their culture was wiped out, altered or absorbed into an invading group of Others.  This is human history.

I am the daughter of a combat veteran in the Vietnam war.  You too probably have your family warrior story.  How he or she came home different, or didn’t come home.   War affects all.  It quietly and quickly, like a spirit in the night, seeps into those who participate.  And then those warriors bring it home.  To spouses, to children.  Like a virus, it spreads through the community and leaves the strongest diminished, and those who love, afraid.

I am a shamanic practitioner by vocation.  I was called to shamanize at the age of 26.  My father died when I was in my 30s.  I was able to come to peace with my father while he was still alive.  This is a great gift.  I owe this directly to my personal shamanic practice, and to receiving the help of a kind healing man who let me talk to him when i was in much pain. Using the tools of my shamanic work, I was able to come to terms within myself, about those things i did not get, or got too much of, from my parents as archetypes.  Most importantly, I was able to work directly with my father in his last two years so that we could be honest about our pain, and talk as father and daughter.  Due to this “coming home” before he died, I was able to write a book after my father died, which I named “Accepting the Ashes- A Daughter’s Look at PTSD”.  That name comes from me having the box of ashes, that used to be his body, after he died.  It was up to me to decide what to do with them.   Writing that little book helped heal me, and my experience with the shamanic world, that the world is alive, and we are a part of it, helped me be able to heal my past, help my father, and my book is now helping other veterans around the country.

So here we all are together, wanting to stop the wars in our world, and also coming to terms that within each of us is trauma yet unwitnessed and forgiven.  This is our generational task. To come to terms, to be at peace with our selves, and find a way to deal with our differences other than to wipe each other out and in trying, causing pain for everyone involved.

Yesterday, I attended a conference hosted by a powerful woman named Deborah.  She helps Warriors die, and if they are ready, she helps guide them to healing their past traumas.  As I sat for hours listening to stories of pain, and healing rituals, and good deaths, I took notes for my later self.  Upon looking at them today, the day after, I see messages that can be helpful to all of us who deeply desire to move beyond the traumas that happened in our lives, and those that we inherited.   As shamanically inclined folk, we know that we must being brave enough to embrace change, and the greatest change in our whole life is our Death.  Yet we do not have to wait for Death to befriend change and be open to healing.   As we become brave enough to do just that, we become the spiritual warriors of our people.  The healing of one heart can guide a whole world.

Notes from “Hero Within- Peace at Last” with

“Sometimes a tear is the story. Stories of pain don’t always have to be in words.”
“At the end of life, Time collapses into the ever-present Now.”
“At the end of life, many feel the unfulfilled longing for the life not lived.”
“Dying people are fertile ground for healing.”
“Healing = Forgiveness”
“Bitterness is a poison for the soul that greatly complicates peaceful dying.”
“It is never too late to heal”

It is time to blend the worlds.  People in all tribes around the planet have always decided to go to War with an Other.  What past tribes had, which we have forgotten, is the sacred return of the Warrior after War, so that these Warriors, who are also Men (and now Women), can peaceably come home to the village, and become a citizen again.  There have always been practices, rituals and ceremonies performed and practiced by healers, loved ones and sages in a tribe to help the returning Warrior come to terms with what he saw, who’s lives he took, his perceived failings in the face of danger, and how to safely feel again.  This is the final stage of service for any soldier/service member/Warrior.  Our Warriors are Citizens.  We need to remember the ancient shamanic practices of soul retrieval, extraction and ceremony so that we can help bring our Warriors home.  It is good for all in all Tribes.  This is the vocation of our generation…to remember.

In honor of Veterans Day 2011.  11/11/11

ISA in the Tucson Weekly!

Thanks to Irene Messina of the Tucson Weekly for writing a story about our shamanic arts group and our recent Rain loving events.  The link is here…

On Saturday, Quynn hosted an introductory workshop that was listed in the Tucson Weekly.  It was great to go back to the basics and share stories with people who are new to the shamanic arts.  One participant described the workshop this way…

“Very informative. Quynn is very knowledgeable and explains what emotions you might be going through when you are new seeking information out of the so called “normal” practice. She gives you new tools that you can take home and practice to be able to connect with your guide, god, universe etc. She makes you feel very comfortable and safe. This group is excellent and very respectful.”Other great recent circles were House Cleaning the Senses with Jenni, First Harvest Celebration hosted by Elisabeth and Quynn, and Drum Song- Rhythmic Call to the Directions.  For Drum Song-  13 drummers honored the 7 directions with a variety of rhythms, ‘led’ by seven members of the group. It was intuitive and a bonding experience with all who participated.  One review said “It was amazing… This was my first drumming group and the experience was really wonderful! Everyone was so nice and insightful. Every person there was a really great role model for me as I progress along my spiritual path. I’m really looking forward to more groups similar to this.”The summer of 2011 is ripe with growth in the area of the shamanic arts.  There is no ‘off season’ for this group!  If interested in seeing what is coming up… look at our calendar of events!

Happy Journeys!!!
